ATLANTIC OCEAN---FLORIDA BEACHES

Today is our last day on the Atlantic Ocean so we drove down the Florida beach and played in the water, and picked up some shells, along with some sand for Renia...... We left the camp by 8 so we could beat the heat but it warmed up pretty good before we left the beach. You can look at the map I added yesterday and tell we are very close to St. Mary's and also Fernandina Beach.   We drove down the beach from Fernandiana Beach to Jacksonville Beach then turned and made the loop back to Georgia.  We arrived home a little after noon, so we fried Taco's.... yum yum yes they were good. Tomorrow we head inland so guess we are on our way to Washington, just take us a few months to get there.    

Can you believe the sea shells, there were thousands and thousands of them all the way up and down the beach, I could have went crazy but I only collected what my pocket would hold...... the beach was beautiful

Yesterday when we went to St. Mary's Georgia, we went through the Cumberland Island Museum, Cumberland Island can only be accessed by boat.  A ferry leaves St. Mary's Waterfront Park several times a day.  Cumberland Island was named a National Seashore in 1972.

Also we went through the St. Mary's Submarine Museum.  This Museum was large and told about submarines from all over the world.  And they both were air conditioned so that was rather nice with the 89 plus degrees out on the street.
