Elizabethton, Tennessee

We had a really fun day with the crew some were Confederates, and some were Union soldiers.
Marti and I examining the cannon. We were on the Carter Mansion grounds in Elizabethton, TN. The Colonel and his crew fixed lunch for us, forage stew, cornbread and watermelon.
The recruits shot the cannon and boy was it loud.

Marti, Rick, our friends we went to see and Manuel and the Colonel of the recruits. He really knew his history of the area and the cannons, black powder guns, and the mansion, and its workings. The next day his son was our tour guide at the fort and he said his that was his dad and he was a retired history teacher...... He loves it...

This was at the Carter Mansion, in Elizabethton, TN. the men put on a show for us. The tents were set up and they spent the night there. It was a two day event and quit fun.
