Great Smoky Mountains Ntional Park

Beautiful pictures of the Smoky Mountains, it rained a little in the middle of the day so it was very foggy at the top of the pass and we didn't get any pictures, we couldn't even see the side of the road, the parked cars was just a faint outline. It is only 20 miles back up to the summit so we might have time to go up there again. (it took us all day to get there and about 150miles, we went the long way around to see more)
This lake picture was in the park but in North Carolina instead of Tennessee, another state to add to our list. The park looked like so much like the West side of Washington state. We don't have the rolling hills but made us think of home. The roads were lined with Rhodies so I bet in June or July it is the most beautiful place to be. We saw pictures of the fall so that might be the time also.... well if we ever get here again maybe we will be in June or October....... a few of the trees are starting to turn now with the cooler nights.

Primitive cabin, one of several in Cades Cove, inside the Park. we loved the rock fireplace...

Twin fawns, but one ran away, they still had their spots, this was a at one of the primitive church yards and I think they were use to the noise of humans.
